Translating research into compelling media and public events, supporting community-led organizing efforts, shaping policy and legal advocacy, and strengthening internal operations
We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join as our Senior Strategy & Outreach Manager. In this role, you will actively contribute across four key areas: translating research into compelling media and public events, supporting community-led organizing efforts, shaping policy and legal advocacy, and strengthening internal operations. You will work closely with the ground team to ensure our programs remain impactful, community-centered, and strategically aligned as we grow.
Mission-Driven Culture: Be part of a team rooted in worker-owned values, gender equity, and a community-led approach. We practice what we preach—shared decision-making, transparent pay structures, and deep respect for lived experience and grassroots knowledge.
Strategic Influence: Play a key role in shaping high-impact programs—from CGSSE curricula and cooperative development strategies to city-level policy advocacy.
Professional Growth: Receive support for your development through funded conference travel and mentorship from experienced leaders within and beyond our nonprofit.
Collaborative Network: Work alongside scholars, policymakers, and movement leaders across India and globally, building strong and meaningful peer connections.

Organize and facilitate public events such as community forums, panel discussions, and teacher trainings focused on CGSSE, cooperative economics, labor rights, and gender equity.
Develop policy materials including policy notes, position papers, and RTI applications, while building strong relationships with community leaders, government officials, legislators, and media.
Represent our nonprofit at conferences and coalition meetings, effectively communicating our mission in both Tamil and English.
Implement project management tools, documentation standards, and feedback mechanisms to maintain alignment across cross-functional teams.
Mentor junior staff and interns in community engagement, ethical research practices, and effective communication.
Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure compliance with relevant local and state regulations.
Provide leadership support by acting as program lead when team members are in the field, ensuring smooth continuity of all initiatives.
